On Remembrance Sunday 8th November, Loveday Davies (a member of St Breward Band) played the Lost Post and Reveille outside her home in Limehead and wreaths were laid at the War Memorial on Mine Hill by Dominic Fairman on behalf of Cornwall Council and Alan Rowe on behalf of the British Legion Cornwall
Due to ongoing restrictions the usual combined service could not be held in the Parish Church on Remembrance Sunday or at the War Memorial on Remembrance Day. However, on Remembrance Day, at the War Memorial on Mine Hill, a simple (non- advertised) wreath laying ceremony was carried out.
Phil Nance read out the names on the memorial, the Last Post and Reveille was played (recorded music), wreaths were laid by Joe Kay on behalf of the community and Pat Lismore on behalf of the WI, a wreath made by the Brownies and Guides was laid before the service. Crosses were laid by Roy Coombes on behalf of the Rifles (formerly the DCLI), Anna and David Corns and Judith Nance. As the sound of the Last Post faded away a lone bell ringer (Bill Hill) tolled the bell in St Breward Church Tower. Following the wreath laying, Churchwarden Jeremy Hooper, laid a wreath at the bottom of the War Memorial in the Church.
During November people visiting the church for private prayer are able to see the Remembrance displays made by Fran Calver, some of which featured the locally made poppies from earlier years
