Community Website, Code of Conduct is a community website and has a strict, non-political party policy                What is the purpose of the community website?                                                              The purpose of the website is for community groups and organisations to engage and advertise their events and activities – to publicise and celebrate our allows community groups to post their own information. It is important that anyone using this site abides by this code of conduct.                                How do I become an Author                                                                                      Representatives from local groups are able to add information to the site provides that the organisation they are representing has signed up to the protocol and undertaken training. Each contributor will need to obtain a consent form from The Clerk, St Breward Parish Council. This consent form must contain:                                                                          The name, address and contact information for the Author who must be nominated by the community group.The approval from the Chairperson/Leader of the community group.The consent form will include detail of the type of information that the community group wish to put on the website.Summary information of the group’s purpose, age range, number of members, regular meetings/dates etc.

What would happen if an Editor did not comply with the Website Code of  Conduct?                                                                                                                                     Website Managers will remove all access for this author and a letter will be sent confirming this to the Chairperson/Leader of this community group.In the event of any disputes, the Clerk to the Parish Council will act as the moderator of the website.

As an Editor what am I not allowed to do?  The Code of Conduct forbids users to:                                                                                                                                   Harass, stalk, abuse or insult any other community user.  Make reference to another user in a racist or bigoted manner. Incite others to violate the Code of Conduct Falsely impersonate anyone with the intent to mislead others. Post information or details that invade the privacy of others. Share personal password and log ins with any other person. Upload words, pictures or any other material or information that is illegal, indecent, dishonest, untruthful, defamatory or obscene. Use their pages to link to any other material or information that is illegal, indecent, dishonest, untruthful, defamatory or obscene.Use their pages to link to any other Internet website that contains any of the above material.  Upload words, pictures or any other material that breaches a third party’s copyright  Upload any material or software that could harm other user’s computers or affect the working of the site in any way. Be Polite  Consider that people of all ages, races and beliefs may be using the site, so it is important to be polite and to treat everyone with mutual respect.Stay Legal  does not allow any illegal activity within its pages and forbids users from using the site to distribute any material inappropriate for a website aimed at the community.Consider  That you are solely responsible and liable for any material you upload to the site.  That information on or community website is visible to anyone who accesses the site.  We therefore advise you against giving out personally identifiable information (credit card numbers, names and addresses, etc) to other users.
