In line with Goverment Guidlines the Hall closed in March 2020. The Trustees are continuing to look after the Hall and it will be in good order when wer are able to re-open

A warm and welcoming Village Community Hall with Superfast Broadband and wifi. The Hall consists of two light and spacious west facing rooms served by a kitchen suitable for the preparation and serving of light refr
eshments. Equipped with, double induction hob, microwave, small fridge, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Disabled toilet facilities are available and a Baby Change Unit are available A total of 48 chairs and 19 tables are available, plus display boards.
The Memorial Hall has a PRS/PPL licence making it an ideal venue for parties. The Hall is licenced by the Motion Picture Licencing Corporation (MPLC) to show films through the Moorland Community Cinmea
The Reading Room is equipped with an Interactive Smartboard and Projector, (Laptop and DVD Interface), which also connects to an overhead webcam for tabletop demonstrations. Superfast Broadband with wifi, Public Address System with microphone and hearing Loop System. This room has a seated capacity of 40, standing 60,
The War Memorial Room is equipped with a 60 inch wall mounted monitor, (Laptop and DVD Interface). Superfast Broadband with wifi, Public Address System with microphone and a Hearing Loop System. This room has a wooden floor with a seated capacity of 45, standing 80.
Rental is generally in three session, morning, afternoon or evening. Please contact the Secretary for rental charges and to arrange a visit to the Hall.
St Breward Institute & War Memorial Hall opened as a Reading Room in 1909, the War Memorial Hall was added in 1923, built in memory of those men from the parish who served in The Great War. Refurbished in 1993, major improvement work commenced in the Hall centenary year 2009 and was completed in 2013. The Hall, now known locally as the Memorial Hall is a registered charity run by a Management Committee of Trustees
The Memorial l is ‘Home’ to: the Art Group, Carnival Committee, Community Cafe, Garden Club, History Group, Moorland Community Cinema, Parish Council and WI, full details of these organisations can be found under ‘Local Organisations’ Click here
Since the Autum of 2013 we have been running various ‘Computer’ Classes/Sessions in the Hall, the aim is to have a community in which everyone, whatever their age, income or education, can use the Internet safely and with confidence. We consider it very important that people become familiar with the use of computers, not necessarily in great depth, but to be able to access services and to keep in touch with friends and family
Toilet Twinning
The Memorial Hall is the third place in St Breward to be ‘Toilet Twinned’ the others are the Public Toilet at Row and the Village Hall toilets. The Dance Divas (Belly Dancers) formerly based in St Breward raise money to twin toilets
