Carnival Update April 2021

As we will not be holding a traditional Carnival this year the committee has decided to hold Carnival Events and Activities throughout the year.  You can keep up to date through the St Breward Carnival Facebook Page or here on the Community website.  There will be Posters round the village and updates will be forwarded through the community emails

Our first event was an Easter Treasure Hunt Competition which was held between 13th March – 4th of April.

There were twenty three entries with three overall winners, Cara O’Shea, Mary Hoskins and Patsy Vincent who all received an Easter Egg, and everyone who entered was given a prize – chocolate!

The word that had to be found was EXTRAVAGANZA

St Breward Carnival was restarted in 1988 after a laspse of some 20 years. Rumour has it that the idea was muted over a few beers in The Old Inn!!   Joe Kay was on the original committee, and is currently President of St Breward Carnival Association

Now thirty years later we are still a Village Carnival having fun whilst fundraising for Village Organisations.

And here are twenty seven Scarecrows from Summer 2020 supporting and thanking all the Keyworkers
