To launch the Ash Tree Project – a celebration of Ash Trees through art, craft and greenwood skills, for all ages

This is the first of several events with an Ash theme and an invitation to take part or simply come along for a cup of tea and a chat about trees. There will be:

  • Storytelling with Susan Samm
  • Story stick making
  • Pinhole Photographs – an exhibition.
  • Handcarved spoons, bowls and coracles.
  • Red Ash exhibition

Tea and refreshments (proceeds to the local Wildlife and Conservation group).

There will be a small “Plantation” of forked Ash poles, planted in the field, painted red, yellow, black and white – you can take part in this ongoing art exhibition

Ash Trees have played a vital role in our history but with Ash dieback expected to kill 95% of our Ash Trees, this is also an opportunity to find out more about the disease.
