Jubilee Celebrations are Underway

Jubilee Celebrations in St Breward started on Wednesday evening 1st June, with Bingo at the Footballl Club

Thursday evening 2nd June, is the Lighting of the Bonfire at Mine Hill 9.15pm

Thursday 2nd June – Saturday 4th June, Royal Memorabilia Exhibition in the Memorial Hall 10am-5pm.  Eat cake whilst watching a DVD of the Coronation in 1953

Thursday 2nd June – Sunday 5th Jun, Flower Display in the Parish Church 10am-5pm

Friday evening 3rd June Peal of Bells from the Tower at the Parish Church 7.52pm-8.22pm (1952-2022)

Saturday 4th June An Extravaganza at the Village Hall
In the afternoon 2-4pm, demomstration and participation of Modern Jive –  Come and have Twirl!!  Lots of fun for all the family – Paint a Plate, Face Painting, Hop Scotch, giant bubble wands,  Hall is decorated with ove 2000 lights!!  Free refreshments – lots of cake!!

Jive the night away in the evening from 7pm – Bring your own refreshmnest!!

Sunday morning 5th June, Short Service of Thanksgiving at the Parish Church, commencing 11.10am

Sunday afternoon 5th June is the Community Picnic at the Football Club 1-5pm
This is the only event that is ticketed.  Tickets are £2 Adults, Accompanied children No charge.   Tickets from Christine Lusby 01208 850517 or St Breward Stores.

Please note that dogs are not permitted at the Picnic (Football Association rules are very strict about this).  Also no accompanied children, our Public Liability Insurance does not cover unaccompanied children

Travel in style to the Picnic on the Community Bus

The Bus will leave the Football Club at 1230 and 1.30pm and travels back to the Club via Penvorder Lane, Higher Lank, Limehead, Row, Rylands, Churchtown (Shop), Rylands, Hallagenna and Colan’s Cross

St Breward Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Mugs

The demand  for these commemorative mugs has exceeded expectations and a urther order has been placed, sadly we could not order them at the original price, any mugs ordered after 30th April will cost £5 each

Christine Lusby, who is on the Jubilee Group, will be taking orders and payment. Please put the cash in an envelope addressed to the Jubilee Group together with your name, address, and phone number. Leave the envelope in Christine’s Post Box at at Gwerthji Koth Row St Breward.  This is the former St Breward Stores, next to the Doctor’s Surgery at Row

The Parish Council is presenting Jubilee Commemorative Mugs to all young people resident in the Parish who will be aged 16 and under at any date during 2022

Please contact Val Hill if you have not yet registered your child for a commemorative mug, giving the young person’s name, date of birth, parent or guardian, address and contact telephone number

 Parish Council Meeting Monday evening 6th June

The June meeting of the Parish Council will be held in the Memorial Hall, Monday evening 6th June commencing at 7pm.
Prior to the start of the meeting there will be an opportunity for members of the public to discuss any items which feature on this agenda with all the Parish Councillors.  If any other members of the public wish to discuss any other items – they will be considered for next month’s agenda.
