Bodmin Lions Ten Tors Fundraising Event

This event takes  place on Sunday 19th May, the Carnival Team will be one of the many organisations walking to raise funds. News from the Parish Church                                                                                       Good Friday  March 29th there is to be a special service at 2pm but at Blisland Church. Easter Sunday  March 31st there will be a Holy Communion service in St. Breward Church at the usual time of 11.10am.

Police Rural Community Engagement Surgery Wednesday Morning 27th March
Drop by to discuss any policing issues you have;  Police Community Support Officer Tom Cornwell will be in the Blisland Community Shop and will be pleased to meet you.  10am to 12 noon.

 

History Group Wednesday Evening 27th March                    Everyone welcome at the History Group meeting in the Village Hall on Wednesday evening 27th March. Brian Oldham will be speaking about The Remarkable Daniel Gumb. Doors open 6.30pm, meeting commences 7pm Members £2 Visitors £3, Refreshments and Raffle.

Garden Club Meeting Thursday Evening 28th March
Our next meeting is on Thursday 28th March at St Breward Village Hall. Please note change of day due to Easter. Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.                           All welcome, £2.00 entry, refreshments and raffle

The topic will be Coleton Fishacre, a fabulous garden.  This is an illustrated presentation, given by our own George Loveridge. A tropical garden by the sea in Kingswear, Devon. Home to many tender plants and different from a typical Cornish garden.

Coach Trip to the Royal Cornwall Show Saturday 8th June                                                                                                                                   Age UK Cornwall, with support from the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, will be providing transport to and from the Showground from our Village, entry to the Showground and a pasty lunch at the discounted cost of £14.75 per person. (Normal price £23.50). Individuals requiring support may be accompanied by a family member/carer, who will also be required to pay £14.75.

Working with Age UK Cornwall, St Breward Parish Council are keen to help promote and organise a list of people locally who would like to take up this offer. Only two requirements – you must be 50 or over and able to walk for approximately 20 minutes from where the coaches will park to the Showground entrance.

Getting to Grips with using Mobile Phones                    Since the Autumn of 2013, the Trustees of the Memorial Hall at Limehead, have been organising various IT training sessions

Following a grant through Plymouth University, the Trustees are pleased to announce that in 2024 they are able to offer sessions in Getting to Grips with Using Mobile Phones. The aim of these sessions is to give guidance and help people use their mobile phones with more confidence. The sessions will be informal and there will be plenty of tea and biscuits!
