Coronation Celebrations

St Breward Church

Do visit the Church and see the flower arrangements and the display of ‘Royal’ pictures drawn by the children of St. Breward.   The Church is open every day and the flowers and pictures will be on display from Friday 5th May and all next week

Sunday Morning 7th May

Everyone welcome to Church on Sunday morning 7th May to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

Between 1030-11.30am the church bells will ring out in celebration.  This will be followed by the normal bell ringing for the church service at 11.10am.  This will be a short non- communion service of hymns, prayers and readings to which everyone is invited.

Rylands Monday 8th May   Community Picnic Lunch at Rylands 12noon – 2pm

Children’s Crown Decorating Monday 8th May
On the way to the picnic lunch, bring your children along to the Village Hall between 1100 and 12noon where they will be able to decorate a crown to wear at the picnic

Bring along a picnic lunch, tables and chairs will be laid out; the Band will play and there will be face painting plus cake and ice cream for everyone!!
Lucky household tickets at £1 each are still available from St Breward Stores

Do bring along a picnic rug just in case we run out of chairs!!
All the ticket numbers will go into a draw and the winner will receive a Carvery for four people (2 adults and 2 children), kindly donated by  The Old Inn

The Community Bus will be doing a shuttle service:
Departing  Bolts Quarry Farm 11.30 and travelling to Rylands via Penvorder Lane, Higher Lank, Row and Churchtown

Departing Rylands 12noon and travelling back via Row, Mount Pleasant, Higher Penquite, Penvorder Lane, Higher Lank, Limehead and Row

Return Journey 2pm ish as required

The Coronation Group is praying for a dry Monday but will make a decision at 10am Monday morning as to whether to implement PLAB B which will be bring your picnic lunch to the Church where the Band will be playing and visit the Village Hall for face painting and collection of   decorated coronation cakes, mugs and ice cream

So if you get to Rylands and there are no tables and chairs laid out, come along to the Church and Village Hall’
