Christams Lights in St Breward – Bit of a crisis

For the last couple of years the Silver Band has taken on the organising of the Christmas lights at Row and the Switching on of the Lights event.  This event has featured the band playing, carol singing, visit of Father Christmas, gifts for children, mulled wine, hot chocolate mince pies – always a very popular evening in early December.
Due to ongoing commitments, the Band is no longer able to be responsible for the event and has asked the Parish Council to help promote the search for a group of people to take over organising this very popular event.  The Band has offered to play at any future event and will make the Band Room available for Father Christmas and Refreshments.

Come along to a meeting the Village Hall on Wednesday 18 September, commencing at 7.30pm where we will be working on ideas for Lighting up St Breward at Christmas

Pleae do not be deterred by thinking about the overall event, it is made up many of small tasks, ie making mulled wine and hot chocolate, organising mince pies, decorating the Band Room and so on – and of course the whole event could be organised completely differently – new people – new ideas and so on.
