We understand that Christmas is going to be a bit different this year so are hoping that we can do our best to keep the village feeling as festive as possible.
Following the fantastic response in 2019, are going to be running the Advent Calendar Christmas Window competition again this year. £5 to enter and all you have to do is make sure that your Christmas themed decorative window is lit up for the village to see on your designated day in December.
We will also be running a virtual quiz on the 20th November via Zoom. £5 per team to enter with a prize for the winning team. All those interested please email firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be provided with an invite link to join the quiz. Zoom is a free downloadable app which can be downloaded on a computer, phone or tablet device and will allow everyone to join in electronically.
Never too early to think about Christmas and the Christmas Lights Group are already busy with the plans for this Christmas
For the last few years the Silver Band have kindly looked after the organising of the Christmas Lights but with increasing commitments they have handed over to a new team
The Switching on of the Christmas Lights will be on Sunday 1 December about 6.30pm, but first we need to raise some money; every year lights need replacing and money is needed to keep them burning bright, also the Switching on of the Lights needs funding, mince pies, hot chocolate mulled wine and so on
The Christmas Lights Group are holding a Quiz at The Old Inn on Friday evening 11 October and a Coffee Morning in the Band Room on Saturday 9 November
