Lego ThreePlease be advised that as part of ongoing bridge deck works and traffic management alterations there will be full overnight road closures on the following nights.

Saturday 22nd October

*Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October

Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November

Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November

All closures will operate between 8.00pm until 6am the following morning.

* Please note the closure on Saturday 29th October will start at 9.30pm

Friendly and Local – Computer Courses at the Memorial Hall

Internet things oneThe committee of the Memorial Hall are delighted to announce that Computer Courses are continuing at the Hall

On Wednesday mornings 9 & 16 March 1030 – 1pm there will be ‘Computer ‘Drop In’ Sessions at the Memorial Hall – all welcome, donations of £3. Also on 16th March we will be running a session on how to use comparison websites to obtain the best offers for services such as electric, gas, phone, insurance etc, do come along

6 – 27 April    I Pad Course, 4 Sessions £15, (must be pre-booked)

4 and 11 May    Drop In Sessions, £3 per visit

25 May-15 June    Tablet Course, 4 sessions £15 (Must be pre-booked)

A30 – Temple to Higher Carblake – Road Improvement Scheme

Lego ThreeWork has commenced on the scheme to dual the last section of single carriageway on the A30 between the M5 at Exeter and the Carland Cross junction north of Truro (approx 2.8 miles or 4.5km). This work is expected to last 22 months.
Thw work will involve the closure of junctions and road diversions on the A30, the end result will be a safer road and less congestion on local roads. Football Club aims to raise £100,000!!

Sunday 17th May saw the launch of the St Breward AFC Refurbishmnet Project. The club are looking to raise £100,000 to make major improvements to the changing rooms and kitchen and to provide disabled toilet facilities.  Donations have already been received from the Parish Council £2000, Carnival Committee £1000 and Garden Club £50.                                                                                                                                     Lots of fundraising activities are planned keep an eye on the website, Parish Magazine and local notice boards.  For more information, contact Kerry Dingle 07834 636769 email  kerrydingle@hotmail.co.uk

Anyone for cricket?

IMG_0718Pencarrow Cricket Club start their outdoor training from 9th April at Pencarrow Cricket Ground, located in the camel valley near Washaway. This year they have a new electronic scoreboard and will be running a second team for younger players and those keen for more casual cricket. Everyone is welcome, they would love to expand the Pencarrow cricketing community
