Christmas Activities and Events

Saturday morning, 4th December, Craft Fair St Breward Village Hall
The Village Hall hosts a Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday morning the 4th December. 10am-1pm.  A wide range of stalls from Christmas decorations, cards, jewellery, individual crafts, plants, homemade cakes to a tombola. Christmas baps served from the kitchen along with a free cup of mulled wine (bit early in the day but it is Christmas after all!). On top of all this the Hall will be decked out with hundreds of lights, decorations and a rather large Christmas tree. For further information ring Ted Raynham 01208 851396

Friday evening 3rd December,Christmas Lights Switch On at Row (outside The Old Shop)
From 6pm there will be mince pies, mulled wine and hot chocolate and Christmas tales for the children from a local Storyteller and the Silver Band will be playing Christmas songs and carols.  The lights will be switched on at 6.30pm,

Community Bus

A new Bus timetable is now available for the period January – April 2022. There are couple of new routes. The bus will go to Trago and Morrisons on 16th February and 13th April (£3) and Truro out of town on 18th February. This trip includes stops at Matalan, Home Bargains, the Range and Dunelm (£5).

The Carnival Committee is working on plans for Carnival Activities and Events in 2022.

The November meeting of the Parish Council will be held in the Village Hall Churchtown PL30 4PP on Monday evening, 1st November, commencing at 7pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend

Prior to the start of the meeting there will be an opportunity for members of the public to discuss any items which feature on this agenda with all the Parish Councillors.  If any other members of the public wish to discuss any other items – they will be considered for next month’s agenda

St Breward Band and Bugle Band will be holding a combined Concert in Bugle Village Hall New Street Bugle St Austell PL26 8PG on Saturday evening 30th October, commencing 7.30pm.
Entrance is free with donations to Cancer Research.

Mis-use of a Post Box in St Breward

Covid Test Results                              

Today, Friday 22nd October the Postman emptying the post box outside the former Post Office at Row found a Positive Lateral Flow in a clear plastic bag inside the post box.

The Post Office has sealed this post box and it will be disinfected later today before being brought back into use.

The Post Office has aavised that if this happens again, all the post boxes in St Breward will be sealed and all post will have to be handed in at St Breward Stores & Post Office.

The Post Office has deemed only certain post boxes for returning PCR home tests results. These are called ‘Priority Post Boxes, St Breward Stores & Post Office is not a dedicated postal site for returning PCR home test results.

Coffee Mornings are back!!

Pickles and Preserve Coffee Morning on Saturday 23rd October in the Parish Church commencing at 10am

Bric-a-brac, raffle and a cake stall plus coffee and cake.  Everyone welcome to come along for a browse and stay for a cuppa and a chat.

Parish Magazine                                                                     The Parish Magazine which covers St Breward, Blisland, Helland and Temple is currently experiencing problems and it is highly unlikely that there will be another issue this year.

The Magazine need an Advertising Manager and ongoing issues with the bank account are holding up the funds.

The Magazine Team are hoping to relaunch the Magazine in the New Year but this will be very much dependent on recruiting an Advertising Manager
