September edition of the Parish Magazine now available

There are several tributes to our late Queen Elizabeth in this month’s edition of the magazine, including from the Vicar, our MP and a County Councillor, and also condolences and good wishes to our new King.

The magazine also has the news updates from the three parishes, notices of forthcoming events, items on natural and also archival history and much, much more – including advice to ‘ladies who sew’ and other snippets of useful information…

Sadly, Julie Fairman, the magazine editor for many years, is standing down and a new editor is needed to replace her. The ‘job description’ for the post is in the magazine: for further details please contact Julie at editorparishmag@outlook.com or 07774 207870.   It would be a great loss to our communities if the magazine were to disappear!

Copies of the magazine are available at St Breward Stores at the very good value price of only £1.50.

There is an item about this month’s forthcoming investigative  excavation of King Arthur’s Hall on Bodmin Moor to try and solve the mystery of what it was for. There are events available for the public to attend but these must be pre-booked: all details are in the magazine.

There are articles – and photos – on nature; reports on events past and planned by the various groups in our village(s); items from the Church, the WI and Trikyd’s Miary (a wry view of events); Coffee Break quizzes etc, adverts from local traders and much more.
