The cinema will re-open on Saturday 1st February 2020 with ‘Inn of the Sixth Happiness’ (1958) PG Directed by Mark Robson Starring Ingrid Bergman, Curd Jurgens, Robert Donat, Arthene Seyler and Burt Kwouk

Based on the true story of Gladys Aylward, a tenacious British woman, who became a missionary

Gladys Aylward, is destined to go to China. She is rejected as a missionary, but eventually finds her way to the town of Yang Cheng where she runs an Inn. Her peaceful existence is interrupted by Japan’s invasion of China. Aided by Lin Nan a half-Chinese/half-Dutch military officer, Gladys leads a group of orphans to safety by embarking on a dangerous mountain journey.’

On Saturday afternoon 2nd March, the Moorland Community Cinema in the Memorial Hall will be showing The Post (2017) 12A  Directed by Stephen Spielber, Starring Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks,Sarah Paulson, Alison Brie and  Matthew Rhys
