‘Photos from the Archives’ at the Community Cafe

Come along to the ‘Community Cafe’ in the Memorial Hall on Monday afternoon 7 Oct 2-4.30pm where The History Boys (Brian & Jon) will be showing photos from the Archives. The History Group now has thousands of photos in the Archives and this will be a rare chance to see some iconic photos and hopefully for some additional names and dates to be added to them

As well as the usual delicious cakes on offer there will be an ‘Afternoon Special’  A mug of fresh tasty filter coffee with a toasted, buttered tea cake for only £2.50. Why not spoil yourself with this offer while enjoying the photographs.

Back by popular demand – Carnival Safari Supper Sat 21 Septembe

Join us on a Carnival Safari Supper Saturday 21 September.
We will be starting with Drinks & Nibbles – and Raffle! at School before moving on to The Chapel for Starters.  Up the hill to the Football Club for Main Course which this year will be a ‘Roast’ (Roast Beef, Chicken wrapped in Bacon or a Gluten Free Vegetarian Curry).  Finally on to the Village Hall for Delecious Dessserts, Cheese & Biscuits and Coffee

On Saturday afternoon 7 September the Moorland Community Cinema in the Memorial Hall will be showing ‘The Queen’ (2006) 12A  Direceted by Directed by Stephen Frears, Starring Helen Mirren, Michael Sheen, James Cromwell, Alex Jennings and Sylvia Syms

‘Friends against Scams’ – A Presentation by staff from NatWest

Staff from Nat West will be giving a presentation in the St Breward Memorial Hall about scams on  Wednesdays 8 and 15 May 1030 – 1pm, the cost  including refreshments will be £5 per person.  The Presentation will cover all scams including e-mail, phone & good old fashioned doorstep

The same Presentation will be given on both dates, should the demand exceed places available we run the Presentation again later in the year
