Carnival Safari Supper on Saturday 16 September

After a break of three years Carnival Safari Supper is returning on Saturday 16th September.  Starting at the Memorial Hall then on to the Village Hall, down to the Band Room and finishing at the Football Club.

Safari Transport (the Community Bus) will be running a shuttle service between venues. Contact Nigel for more details 01208 850345

The 2017 theme for the Annual Carnival Scarecrow Competition is ‘Children’s Story Book Characters’.

Entries forms from and returned to Carnival Secretary Sharon No1 Row (opposite The Chapel), £1  per entry. All Scraecrows to be erected by noon Saturday 24th June and must contain some straw.

All Scarecrows to be erected by noon Saturday 24 June.  The Scarecrow Trail Map will be available from St Breward Stores Sunday morning 25th June

 

Saturday 24 June Coffee Morning in the Band Room from 10am and  ‘Saving Grace’ at the Moorland Community Cinema in the Memorial Hall at 2pm

Sunday 25 June Carnival Church Service at 1110am followed by a Buffet Lunch in Church

Tuesday 27 June Annual Carnival Week Quiz at the Football Club commencing 7.30pm (Book your table of 4 with Carnival Secretary Sharon 01208 850191)

Wednesday 28 June Credit Union in The Chapel 10am-noon followed by Soup & Sweet Lunch and Photos from The Archives.  Johnny Cowling is in the Carnival Marquee at the Football Club from 7.30pm (tickets £10 in advance, £15 on the door, ticket includes a pasty) Tickets from Carnival Secretary Sharon 01208 850191 or St Breward Stores

Thursday 29 June View the Minature Gradens at Schoolo, from 1.30pm, stay for tea and cakes

Saturday is Carnival Day Registration at Rylands 5-5.30pm, Judging 5.30-6pm, Procession moves off at 6pm to the Football Club for presentation of Cups & Trophies, Carnival Raffle, Squares Board, Lucky Programme Number and Scarcow Competition Winners.

Entertainment from Bideford Youth Pipe Band, The Cornish Wreckers and Rayments Fairground Organ.  Two Bouncy castles and Face Painting for the children.  Burgers and Hot Dogs in the Clubhouse Kitchen, tea, cakes and ice cream in the Marquee, licenced bar in the Clubhouse
